2019 International Microwave Bio-Conference held in NJUST

2019-05-08

The 2019 International Microwave Bio-Conference (IMBioC 2019)sponsored by IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Association (IEEE MTT-S), was held on May 06-08, 2019, at NJUST.

IMBioC is a leading conference of IEEE MTT-S, attracting experts in the field of microwave and bioengineering. This is the first time the conference has been held in China.

The conference invited 13 top international experts and 2 top domestic experts in the field of microwave biomedicine to give keynote speeches.

Chief Editors of IEEE Microwave Magazine, IEEE Journal of Electromagnetics, RF and Microwaves in Medicine and Biology, Bioelectromagnetics, Professor Robert Caverly from Villanueva University, Professor JC Chiao from Southern Methodist University, and Professor James Lin from the University of Illinois at Chicago attended the meeting.

The world’s top research institutes of microwave biomedical technology and more than 150 experts and scholars of domestic microwave technology research institutes attended the conference.

NJUST has achieved a rapid development in the research of microwave biomedical sensing technology in recent years and has an expanding influence at home and abroad. A series of internationally advanced technological achievements have been made in the aspects of non-contact vital sign monitoring theory and technology, non-contact sleep monitoring theory and technology, and key technologies for non-contact respiratory disease assisted diagnosis and treatment and many other areas.

NJUST has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with the universities all over the world, engaging in joint research and development of microwave biomedical sensing technology. The cooperative partners include Southern Methodist University, Texas Tech University, the University of Florida, etc.
