NJUST Made Debut on Moscow Aviation and Space Exhibition

The 14th Moscow international aviation and space exhibition in Zhukovsky was open on Aug. 27. Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the opening ceremony. Nanjing University of Science and Technology was invited to attend the exhibition for the first time.

 

The Moscow international aviation and space exhibition is the most influential exhibition in the countries of the Community of Independent States, and is one of the world's five major exhibitions.

 

As the guest of honor of this event for the first time, China held an opening ceremony for its China Pavilion, a special exhibition hall for the event. The Minister Miao Wei, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, made a speech and announced its opening.

 

Present at the exhibition were 17 Chinese enterprises or higher education institutions, including: China Aviation Industry Group, China Commercial Aircraft Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and so on. The scale of Chinese exhibitors in Moscow is the greatest in the history of the event.

 

Nanjing University of Science and Technology made its debut on the exhibition. It demonstrated the university’s innovation achievements in intelligent nanosatellite, space on-orbit service, and space engineering. The university’s scientific outcomes such as August 1  satellite, Huai’an Enlai  satellite, binocular vision remote sensing 6U cubic satellite, education satellite kit, space on-orbit test nanosatellite were unvailed to the visitors.  

 

Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Xin Guobin, Vice Minister, visited the exhibition booth of our university. Liao wenhe, Vice President of NJUST, introduced the university's advantageous research projects in the three fields: micro-nano satellite intelligent remote sensing constellation, space in-orbit service and aerospace engineering education.

 

The exhibition runs until September 1. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize guest of honor activities. As an exhibitor, NJUST will participate in forums, board discussion, and other related activities held by the organizer.

 

NJUST will make full use of this opportunity to promote and strengthen exchanges.
