Professor Shen Ruiqi Received Honorary Doctorate from Institute of Combustion Problems, Kazakhstan

From November 20 to 25, 2019, the 11th International Conference on Combustion and Plasma Chemistry was hosted by the Institute of Combustion Problems and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

Professors Shen Ruiqi, Jiang Xiaohong, Liu Xiaoheng and Ye Yinghua from School of Chemical Engineering, NJUST, attended the conference and carried out close and extensive academic exchanges with the other scholars.

 

During the conference, Prof. Shen was granted the Honorary Doctorate by Institute of Combustion Problems with the permission of the Ministry of Education and Science, Kazakhstan. The institute believes that Prof. Shen has made outstanding contributions to scientific research in combustion and nanomaterials fields and the promotion of bilateral educational exchanges, scientific and technological cooperation.

 

Academicians of the Kazakhstan Academy of Technical Sciences and Director of the Institute Prof. T.A. Ketegenov presented the Honorary Doctorate certificate to Prof. Shen on the ceremony.

 

The honor is a recognition and encouragement of NJUST’s active participation in “the Belt and Road” international exchanges and cooperation.

 

NJUST has signed the cooperation agreement with the Institute of Combustion Problems and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University years ago. Since then, the two counterparts has conducted deep and extensive academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation.

 

In the future, chemical engineering, new materials, new energy, aerospace are still the hot research fields in which NJUST carries out the Belt and Road cooperation. And it will not cease the steps on the way of strengthening cooperation and exchanges with the Belt and Road countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, etc.
