Academic schedule

NUST's academic year is comprised of 3 semesters: the Summer Semester, Fall Semester and Spring Semester. The duration of Summer Semester is 4 weeks and Autumn and Spring Semesters is 18 weeks each, having their last 2 weeks scheduled for course reviews and examinations. Duration of Study
The Undergraduate Students of NUST are given a time limit of 3-6 years to complete their studies; 2-3 years for Master Students and 4 years for Doctorate Students as well as 0.6-1 year for Chinese language students.


Admission Deadlines

Because there are official deadlines for applications, it is important that international students who wish to attend NUST apply early.
Autumn semester: August 10
Spring semester: February 20

 

Applications submitted after these dates will be considered only if there is sufficient time to process the application, and if space remains available in the upcoming class.

 

Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship--University Postgraduate Study Program (CGS-UPSP) must submit the completed application to the International Students Office of NUST directly by the end of March every year.

http://www.njust.edu.cn/ (English edition) /admissions. In order to have your application for admission evaluated as quickly as possible, please be sure you fulfill all application requirements. Please note that all transcripts, mark sheets, or certificate submitted to NUST must be official and in English. Language Proficiency
All applicants whose native language is not Chinese must prove Chinese proficiency. Those who have reached new HSK Level 4 or above meet the NUST regular standards for admission. Applicants whose native language is not English but intend to attend the courses conducted in English must prove English proficiency with IELTS or TOEFL scores.
