A Delegation Led by Mayor of Metz Visited NJUST

On July 9, Dominique Gros, Mayor of Metz, and his delegation visited NJUST to discussion cooperation. Yin Qun, Secretary of NJUST party committee, and Xi Zhanwen, Deputy Secretary of NJUST party committee warmly welcomed the guests. Liu Zhong, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, Yang Sen, Executive Vice President of the Sino-French Engineer School, and Wang Haoping, Deputy dean, attended the meeting which was presided by Xi Zhanwen.


Yin Qun delivered a speech and extended a warm welcome to the Mayor Dominique Gros. He overviewed the basic information of NJUST as well as its current international cooperation.


Yin Qun pointed out that the cooperation between Nanjing University of Science and Technology and the Metz National Institute of Engineers had a long history. In 2015, the Sino-French Engineer School was officially founded in NJUST. Currently, the school is running well and is actively preparing for CTI certification of France.


He expressed his wishes that the Mayor could provide more support to help the Sino-French Engineer School successfully pass the CTI certification, which could boost the realization of French engineer education in China.


Mayor Dominique Gros introduced achievements made by Metz in the field of economy and technology. He said that the regional and municipal government had paid high attention to the Sino-French Engineer School program. He added that the Metz government would continue to support and promote ENIM and cooperation between universities of France and NJUST in teaching and research. Later, Mayor Dominique Gros and his delegation visited the Engineering Training Center and the Sino-French Engineer School.
