President of Fukuoka University of Technology Visited NJUST

On July 11, the President of the Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Mr. Shimomura, visited NJUST. Attended the meeting with Shimomura were Yin Qun, Secretary of the school party committee, Chen Qian, Vice President, and Liu Zhong, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, Bo Yuming, Deputy Director of the Graduate School, and Zhang Dingguo, Vice President of the Graduate School.


Yin Qun first expressed warm welcome to Mr. Shimomura on behalf of NJUST. The two sides reviewed the history of cooperation. In the past few years, the two universities have had close scientific research cooperation and achieved fruitful results. The teachers have formed a profound friendship. Later, Yin Qun introduced the development and achievements of NJUST in scientific research and student training in recent years.


Before the meeting, Mr. Shimomura visited the Lab for Spectral Imaging and IntelliSense and the Engineering Training Center. He spoke highly of the scientific research and student cultivation of our school, and greatly appreciated the achievements of our school in research, student cultivation, and students' innovation &entrepreneurship. He hoped that both sides could deepen cooperation in student cultivation.


Since 1993 when the two universities signed an agreement, they maintained close cooperation in scientific research and student cultivation. In 2008, the two sides established a joint training program for double degree masters. Mr. Shimomura’s  visit aimed to discuss the joint education for doctoral students and to sign a cooperation agreement on the double-degree doctoral program between the two universities.
