NJUST elected National Model Base for International Science and Technology

Recently, the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology issued a document about 2017 national model base for international science and technology cooperation. The “International Technology Cooperation Base for Image Measurement Technology” of NJUST was officially approved, which is the only one in Jiangsu Province in 2017.

This Base is an important achievement of our university in the construction of national science and technology innovation base, marking our universitys leading position and demonstration role in the international scientific and technological cooperation in photoelectric imaging and image measurement technology. It will provide a better research platform and bring more development opportunities for the optical engineering and related disciplines of our university, helping NJUST face the international science and technology frontier and carry out high-level scientific research cooperation. NJUST will take this opportunity to build the Base into an international innovation platform with cutting-edge technology, excellent talents and demonstration influence.

        The School of Electronic and Optical Engineering of NJUST mainly provide the support for longstanding development. Some International research institutions also contribute to the construction of it, such as the Research Center for Advanced Measurement Technology of Fukuoka Institute of Technology, the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Ohio State University, the Institute of Applied Optics of the University of Stuttgart, NTU Center for Optical and Laser Engineering, and Center for Optoelectronics of the University of Glasgow.

The Base will carry out effective international exchanges and cooperation in key technical areas, such as optical 3D imaging and image measurement, optical super-resolution imaging, optical device micro-nano processing, optical precision testing technology, etc., providing core technologies for the upgrading and large-scale production of high-end imaging measurement equipment.
