Pro. Zulkhair Mansurov was appointed the Visiting Professor of NJUST

On November 15th, the Visiting Professor Appointment Ceremony of the Pro. Zulkhair Mansurov, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was held at the Conference Center. Pro. Shen Ruiqi, vice dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, NJUST, presided over the ceremony. Pro. Wang Lianjun, vice president of NJUST, issued the letter of appointment and delivered a welcome speech. Pro. Vladimir Zarko, the chief scientist at the Russian Academy of Sciences, Pro. JiangXiaohong, director of the Instrumental Analysis Center, Dr. Alexsandr Rogache from Belorussia, Dr. Zhanerke Yelemessova from Kazakhstan, and the postgraduate representatives attended the ceremony and the academic lecture afterwards.

The lecture given by Pro. Zulkhair Mansurov was titled “Metal oxide nanoparticles: synthesis in hydrocarbon flames and their applications in solar cells” which explicitly presented the international cutting-edge issues concerning nanostructure energetic materials and nanoparticle combustion, etc.. After the lecture, Pro. Zulkhair Mansurov had an in-depth discussion on the relevant hot issues with the participants.

Professor Zulkhair Mansurov, the director of the Combustion Institute, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, is the internationally renowned scholar in the field of combustion and nanomaterials. In addition, he is also the editor-in-chief of Eurasian Chemico-Technological Journal and Combustion and Plasmochemistry. Apart from his 31 patents, he has published more than 720 academic papers, 6 monographs, 7 textbooks.
