Six scholars of NJUST enter "highly cited scientists " in 2018

A few days ago, Clarivate Analytics announced its list of highly cited scientists in 2018. It is the fifth consecutive time that the list has been released annually.

 

More than 4,000 high-cited scientists from 21 fields of natural and social sciences are in the list. Six scholars of our university, whose are Wang Xin, Yan Teng, Xu Shengyuan, Ji Qingmin, Xia Hui and Zeng Haibo, were included in the list. While the number of listed scientists ranked 16th among mainland universities. In additon, it was the 5th time for Professor Xu Shengyuan to be listed.

 

Xu Shengyuan, professor of the School of Automation, doctoral supervisor, honorary professor of the University of Hong Kong, was awarded as the Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor by Ministry of Education in 2008. Professor Xu is mainly engaged in the research of control theory and application. He is currently the editorial member of Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and ControlInternational Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems and Control Theory and Applications.

 

Wang Xin is a professor of the School of Chemical Engineering and a doctoral supervisor. He has been engaged in functional materials and industrial catalysis research for a long time. He has published more than 300 SCI papers , which has been cited more than 14,000 times. He obtained more than 50 national invention patents, one of which was awarded the China Patent Excellence Award (2011) by National Intellectual Property Administration and won two second prizes of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award (first author, 2005 and 2010).

 

Zhai Teng, associate professor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering & Gleiter Institute. He has been engaged in the research of the controllable synthesis and modification of functional nano-materials, and the application of its energy storage devices. Until September 2018, his SCI papers has been cited more than 8,000 times while H-index is 41. He has been invited to serve as a long-time reviewer for more than ten SCI academic journals.

 

Ji Qingmin, professor of Materials Science and Engineering & Gleiter Institute, Doctoral Supervisor, is mainly engaged in the design of new composite structures based on molecular self-assembly of organic/inorganic materials. More than 70 papers were published in journals, such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev and so on.

 

Xia Hui, professor of Materials Science and Engineering & Gleiter Institute, doctoral supervisor, published more than 120 papers. While related papers were cited by SCI more than 6,700 times. He is mainly engaged in the research of all-solid-state thin film lithium batteries, super capacitors and key materials and devices of new energy storage system .

 

Zeng Haibo is a winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. Currently, deputy dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering& Gleiter Institute. He has been engaged in semiconductor quantum dot and perovskite luminescence display research. He has published more than 200 SCI papers in Nature Comm., Adv. Mater and so on, among of which there are 35 ESI highly cited papers, and more than 11,000 SCI references.
